Excursion in Athens - Half Day City Sightseeing
HALF DAY TOUR IN ATHENS Duration: Approximately 4,5 hours (8am-1pm)
Itinerary: Departure from the port
of Piraeus to Athens. Panoramic city tour of Athens. You will see:
Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the
Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. Driving
down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the Evzones in their
picturesque uniform and the Presidential Palace. On your way to
the acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Olympian
Zeus and you will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where
the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On
the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age
of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erectheion
and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument
that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon.
Continue to visit the New Acropolis Museum {if they wish} or the
Archaeological museum of Athens {if they wish}.
Short free time in the old city of Athens “Plaka”
Return in Piraeus at 1pm - (1 Archaeological site + 1 Museum can be
visited). Free time
will be around 30 minutes.

FULL DAY TOUR IN ATHENS Duration: Approx 9 Hours (8am – 5pm)
Itinerary: Departure from the port of Piraeus to
Athens. Panoramic city tour of Athens. You will see: Constitution Square

and the National Library. Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will
