ST. ISAAC'S CATHEDRAL
St. Isaac's Cathedral was originally the city's main church and the largest cathedral in Russia . It was built between 1818 and 1858 , by the French - born architect Auguste Montferrand , to be one of the most impressive landmarks of the Russian Imperial capital .

LEGENDARY BATTLE CRUISER AURORA PHOTOSTOP  
Travel back in time by stepping on board the memorial ship Aurora, which played an important role in the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 . The cruiser Aurora was built between 1897 and 1900 by the "New Admiralty" in St . Petersburg and joined Russia's Baltic fleet in 1903 . The ship measures 126 . 8 meters ( 418 feet 5 inches) in length, 16 . 8 meters ( 55 feet 5 inches) in width and weighs a staggering 7 , 600 tons .  

PETER AND PAUL FORTRESS TERRITORY VISIT 
The Peter and Paul Fortress is the original citadel of St . Petersburg, Russia, founded by Peter the Great in 1703 and built to Domenico Trezzini's designs from 1706 to 1740 as a star fortress . In the early 1920 s, it was still used as a prison and execution ground by the Bolshevik government .

This shore excursion in St Petersburg is a great option to cover the most famous attractions in a short time. One-Day Shore Excursion in St Petersburg with Catherine Palace

This Tour of St Petersburg for cruise ship passengers includes visiting the famous summer residences of the Romanovs family.

It starts in the port terminal where you will meet the guide and continues with a city tour.
A panoramic ride along the University Embankment will show you a spectacular view of St Isaac's Square and the Cathedral, the Admiralty, the Palace Bridge, and the Palace Embankment.

Later, passing by the sleeping areas of the city on our way to Peterhof, you can have a short subway trip to see the stations called 'the underground palaces'. 
 

The Lower Park of Peterhof, where you will have a walking tour, is famous as the capital of fountains.
